Artists I return to

Pick an artist to see when I listened to them most. Taller bars mean more listening hours.

How this is counted

One winning song per year. Peaks use exact rolling seven-day windows; daily bins use Berlin dates, so edge days may extend beyond the shaded interval. When comparing songs, the plots share the same vertical scale.

“First heard” means the first play of at least 30 seconds in this export, not necessarily the first in my life. An artist counts as returning with one such play in a later year. 2012 and 2026 are partial years.

How this is counted

Comparison bars use all music hours, including an explicit unclassified share. Distance uses classified hours only (Jensen–Shannon distance, base 2). Current distance: 0.149 (0 means the same mix, 1 means no overlap). Coverage: 2025 85.1%; 2026 84.5%. Artist-level genres describe catalogue tags, not the sound of every track.

How often I listen

Two simple measures: how many days I played music, and how long I listened on those days. Longer bars mean more.

In 2025, I listened on 348 of 365 days. That’s 95% of days, averaging 3.3 hours on days with music.

* Partial year: 2012 starts in March; 2026 ends in October.

How this is counted

A listening day has at least one play of 30 seconds or more. The average includes all recorded music time on those days, plus any short plays on other days. Durations can overlap across devices. The two bar columns have separate scales: 0–100% of days and 0–5 hours.

About this listening history

Where the numbers come from

Every chart is computed from the same Spotify Extended Streaming History, 15 Mar 2012–12 Oct 2026. Offline plays use a valid supplied offline timestamp; other plays use the exported end timestamp. All calendar boundaries use Europe/Berlin.

15,252 offline timestamps used; 9,832 streams moved to a different calendar date. No plays were removed or durations capped. No daily music total exceeds 24 hours after this timestamp repair.

The original archive stays in the private source repository. This public page contains aggregates only. Spotify loads only when you press a play button.
